Yoga + Acupressure = AcuYoga
Yoga is not simply a physical fitness routine; it encompasses and unites the body, mind, and spirit. Stretching the body in conjunction with deep breathing brings balance and harmony to the mind and body while creating health, energy, and well-being.
Acupressure manipulates body energy through a system of points and meridians. AcuYoga is a combination of acupressure and yoga which stimulates the acupressure points and meridians to achieve inner balance.
Christel’s program uses the combined benefits of yoga and acupressure to teach breathing, stretching, and yoga postures that benefit the body by increasing flexibility and releasing tension. In addition to the physical benefits, the mental benefits of acuyoga include sharper concentration and focus and a better ability to manage daily stress.

I believe in taking life one breath at a time.
I teach gentle yoga as part of the holistic and integrative health experience.
Gentle yoga, although less strenuous than other forms of hatha yoga, provides the same mental and physical benefits as the more intense styles It can be individualized to your particular needs or physical restrictions or limitations, and is very good for people who are not able to fulfill the demands of other practices. If you are simply looking for a more relaxed workout, gentle yoga will help your overall flexibility.
Gentle yoga provides a workout without putting any unnecessary strain on you by using modifications of standard hatha yoga poses. Sometimes, this simply means that you do not go as deep into a specific posture.
If you can breathe and you can stretch – you can do yoga. My gentle classes are designed to be challenging enough to release the tension but easy enough for everyone.
