What is Integrative Health Coaching?

The Integrative approach to health is a client centered approach which focuses on healing and nurturing wellness from within.
You may want to make changes in your diet, begin a program of regular exercise, enroll in a stress reduction or stress management program, or make other changes in your lifestyle to promote better health but have no idea how or where to begin. You know what you need to do, but do not know how to do it, or how to stick with it. Your physician or health care provider may not be able to take extra time to help you create new healthier habits.
As your integrative health coach, I am your partner to help you create and maintain a life of health, happiness and fulfillment. I will support, guide, and encourage you to access and employ your innate healing power within, to make realistic and sustainable healthstyle changes. In this process, we will travel together on the journey to better health and a more satisfying life. This journey is seldom linear, but takes twists and turns along the way, resulting in unexpected discoveries and insights.
Central to this process is mindful awareness–paying attention to the present moment, with no judgements or expectations. By being fully present and aware of what is happening within you–body, mind, and spirit–you are better able to respond to changes in your life with clarity and purpose.
Coaching provides an opportunity for you to collaborate with an experienced partner to carve out the kind of optimal health you’ve envisioned. A coach is like a “personal trainer” except the focus will be on your whole self. Any concern that gets in the way of taking care of your optimal health is the perfect subject with which to begin coaching.
